Each episode introduces the next generation of aviators to the variety of career paths at Gatwick and gives them the opportunity to ask employees questions about their roles.

The Passenger Operations and Services Team at Gatwick Airport provide the operational delivery of key elements of the passenger journey.  Enjoy an insight in to their roles and what it takes to promote a positive passenger experience, from arrival at the airport to aircraft.

A lot can happen during this short distance and it usually does!  A trained team of Terminal specialists working around the clock, are poised to respond to any emergency, incident or event that may interrupt it. Here is their story.

Are you aged 11 and upwards with a passion for aviation? This virtual learn live event follows a day in the life of Adam, an Airfield Controller at Gatwick Airport.

No two days on our #airfield are the same – our airfield controllers could be checking the #safety of buildings and structures around the airport; marshalling aircraft to guide them as they park up on stand; or responding to an aircraft #incident or emergency on the runway.

Gatwick Airport South Terminal was closed for 93 weeks during the COVID pandemic. This had a
huge effect on Gatwick – both on the people and the infrastructure.

When the time came to bring the Terminal back to life, a very challenging programme of works was put into action to ensure that everything was ready to welcome our first passengers on 27 March 2022.
